Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by a marine offshore company.
The Company is looking for an Assistant Operations Manager.



Job description
The Assistant Operations Manager will responsible for the daily operations of the vessels float. He will be assisting the Operations Manager.
The position is based in Port-Harcourt, Nigeria.



Responsibilities

i.            The responsibilities for this office shall include but is not limited to the following:
Interface with the vessels and collect daily reports from them. Collate all reports from the boats in the fleet.

ii.            Voyage planning for boats leaving the base or coming in. prepare Sailing Orders, journey management planning and monitoring.

iii.            Preparation of delivery/Redelivery notes for vessels going on/off hire. Follow up to get them signed and uploaded into the online database as well as the office file.

iv.            Follow KPIs of the company with a view to compliance.

v.            Follow tracking of vessels.

vi.            Work hand-in-hand with Crew coordinator to ensure timely crew changes.

vii.            Conduct crew briefing/debriefing for embarking or disembarking crew and keep record of same.

viii.            Shall be involved with crew assessments and appraisals.

ix.            Interface with the operations department of clients to coordinate vessel movement and also for solving problems arising from day-to-day operations.

x.            Assist the Operations Manager in preparing any other reports for clients or for management.

xi. Any other duties as directed by the LINE MANAGER



Qualifications and experience

i.            Must have a degree or HND in a marine related field

ii.            Possess a minimum of 5 years experience of which 3 years must be within the maritime industry

iii.            Must have sea experience working at the minimum level of Mate/OOW

iv.            Ability to multitask

v.            Leadership skills
Honest and hardworking

vi.            High proficiency in MS Office applications

vii.            Negotiation skills

viii.            Creative and Innovative

ix.            Team oriented and outgoing

x. Ability to work with little or no supervision
