Globacom (Glo) Nigeria: Vacancies for Data Centre / Content and Services Manager
Globacom Limited is Nigeria’s Second National Operator providing GSM, Fixed, Broadband and Gateway services with subsidiaries in Nigeria, Republic of Benin, Ghana and other West African countries.
The company needs capable professionals who can fill various positions in Glo 1 and Glo Gateway. The positions attract internationally competitive remuneration.
General Qualifications:
o Relevant university degrees are required for all positions
o For the technical positions, a degree in Electrical / Electronics or Telecommunications Engineering is preferred, while for non-technical positions, a degree in Economics, Marketing or Business related discipline is Preferred.
o Relevant post graduate or professional qualification will be an added advantage
Vacancies available:
1. INTERNET DATA CENTRE (IDC) AND MANAGED SERVICES MANAGER REF: IDCM
Experience
o 9 – 12 yrs experience in a leading telecoms / ISP company with at least 4 yrs as a Product Manager for Data Center and Managed Services
o Strong relevant technical competencies in IDC space with leading Telecoms or ISP company
Responsibilities:
Include but not restricted to the following:
o Design, develop and rollout IDC and managed IDC services
o Define the product architecture, service delivery model and IT billing support
2. APPLICATION AND CONTENT SERVICES MANAGER REF: ACSM
Experience
7 – 10 yrs experience in a leading telecoms/ ISP company with at least 5 yrs in content development
Responsibilities:
Include but not restricted to the following:
o Identify high bandwidth consuming applications for development in the Nigerian and other West African markets
o Design, develop and rollout application & content product architecture, service delivery model and IT billing support.
