Globacom (Glo) Nigeria – Vacancies for Network Specialist & Solution Architect
Globacom Limited is Nigeria’s Second National Operator providing GSM, Fixed, Broadband and Gateway services with subsidiaries in Nigeria, Republic of Benin, Ghana and other West African countries.
The company needs capable professionals who can fill various positions in Glo 1 and Glo Gateway. The positions attract internationally competitive remuneration.
General Qualifications:
o Relevant university degrees are required for all positions
o For the technical positions, a degree in Electrical / Electronics or Telecommunications Engineering is preferred, while for non-technical positions, a degree in Economics, Marketing or Business related discipline is Preferred.
o Relevant post graduate or professional qualification will be an added advantage
Vacancies available:
1. WiFi NETWORK SPECIALIST REF: SWIFI
Experience
o 7 – 10 yrs experience in al leading telecoms / ISP company with the last 3 yrs as a Wifi Network Specialist
o Strong relevant technical competencies in WiFi domain
Responsibilities
Include but not restricted to the following:
o Evaluate versions and upgrades of WiFi technologies
o Evaluate and certify acceptability of shortlisted WiFi spots
o Prepare and follow established process to select WiFi
2. SOLUTION ARCHITECT WIFI REF: SAWIFI
Experience
o 5 – 9 yrs experience in a leading telecoms / ISP company with the last 3 yrs in setting up a WiFi Network.
o Strong relevant technical competencies in a WiFi domain
Responsibilities
Include but not restricted to the following:
o Design the set-up of a good WiFi spot in consultation with customer , Glo 1 network team suppliers.
o Provide technical and commercial support on sales calls to finalize WiFi spots.
