Globacom (Glo) Nigeria – Vacancies for International Calling Card Manager & Head, Technical
Globacom Limited is Nigeria’s Second National Operator providing GSM, Fixed, Broadband and Gateway services with subsidiaries in Nigeria, Republic of Benin, Ghana and other West African countries.
The company needs capable professionals who can fill various positions in Glo 1 and Glo Gateway. The positions attract internationally competitive remuneration.
General Qualifications:
o Relevant university degrees are required for all positions
o For the technical positions, a degree in Electrical / Electronics or Telecommunications Engineering is preferred, while for non-technical positions, a degree in Economics, Marketing or Business related discipline is Preferred.
o Relevant post graduate or professional qualification will be an added advantage
Vacancies available:
1. INTERNATIONAL CALLING CARD MANAGER REF: ICCM
Experience
o 11 – 14 yrs cognate experience with a minimum of 3 yrs in handling international calling cards.
o Proficient in MS Office
Responsibilities
Include but not restricted to the following:
o Launch and manage international calling card and top up products globally
o Business terms negotiations (commercial, operational & legal)
2. HEAD, TECHNICAL REF: THG
Experience
o 15 – 18 yrs of experience with a minimum of 3 yrs in a senior technical position for an international voice wholesale / retail business
o Good exposure in managing VSAT network and operations.
o Good working knowledge on high end Cisco / Juniper Routers, digital cross connect equipment, compression equipment, international engineering and signaling protocol.
Responsibilities
Include but not restricted to the following:
o Evaluate, plan, design and commission of International Gateways for establishing connectivity with international carriers and POIs. Build POPs as needed.
o Design systems architecture, network deployment and network capacity management/forecasting.
