Job Vacancy at Chemonics International for Senior and Mid Level Personnel

Chemonics International is seeking mid and senior level trade policy, customs and transport coordinator development specialists in the areas of expertise listed below for an anticipated USAID-funded trade and transportation program in Nigeria. The project is expected to improve trade policy, support trade capacity building and remove bottlenecks to the free flow of goods through a trade facilitation approach.

Positions are long term and to be based in Abuja and various locations in Nigeria:

  • Senior and Mid-level specialists in the following areas:

  • Transportation corridor facilitation

  • Policy and trade facilitation

  • Expanded export support

  • Economic reform and integration

  • Economic governance

  • International private sector development

  • Financial and administrative management

  • Monitoring and evaluation


Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree preferred, in economics, business administration, marketing, trade or related field

Minimum 7 to 10 years of practical experience in implementing trade, customs and transportation projects in Nigeria and/or internationally, including with USAID or other donor-funded projects

Experience with donors and private sector, strong leadership and networking skills, and ability to lead
regional project activities for multiple commodities preferred
