Job Title: IP/MPLS Support Engineer

Job Description:
•Articulate high level understanding of multi-services platforms, routing protocols ISIS / RIP / RSVP / OSPF / BGP / iBGP / and trouble shooting down to packet level
•Articulate In depth knowledge of IP/MPLS protocols, NMS systems, firewalls, Cisco works, CIC etc.
•Layer 2 and 3 VPN understanding
•Implement VoIP and IP Telephony in a Telco and Large IP Networks including integration and configuration
•In depth understanding of QoS, Diffserv Traffic shaping and traffic QoS policy implementation
•Ensure Security and preventative measures for unauthorised access
•Implement firewalling technologies and network access control methodologies.
•Implement mile business connectivity access technologies like ADSL,WiFi,Wimax.
•Ensure Network Related Fault Clearance Rate and availability.
•Perform New Node implementation and cut over
•Provide Emergency Maintenance on IP/MPLS Network / High Level trouble shooting
•Achieve Planned Works Completion rate
•Ensure quality roll-out of new Data/services working with Marketing and IP System planning.
•Liase with IP vendors, Interfacing with TAC centres and Vendor Tier 2 and 3 support staff
Job Conditions: Open Plan Office Environment Extra Hours would be required occasionally.
Reporting To: Datacomms Services Manager
Required Skills:
•B.Sc Computer Science / B.Sc Electrical Engineering
•Cisco Certification to Professional Level required with a bias in MPLS Technology
•CCIE certification highly recommended
•At least 4 Years high level support of a large Enterprise Environment
•Demonstrate knowledge in the implementation of QoS Policies
•knowledge of interworking with TAC and other Cisco services
•Prior experience in Service Provider and ISP Functionality is key
