Job Vacancy at Partners for Development (PFD) for Health Coordinator

Partners for Development (PFD) is an international non-profit organization with a mission to work with underserved populations to improve quality of life.

PFD’s overarching goal is to improve conditions for rural communities that are vulnerable due to poverty, inaccessibility, recent conflict or other forms of upheaval. PFD focuses on strengthening community skills in our four core program areas: food security and nutrition, health, livelihood and enterprise development and climate adaptation.

PFD is implementing a Health Access through Local Empowerment (HALE) project that will contribute to accomplishing Targeted States High Impact Project (TSHIP) institutional, service delivery, community participation and policy objectives in three local government areas of Bauchi State.

The Project is seeking qualified candidates with the ability to work in a team, result oriented, reliable, innovative and focused to join PFD team for the following position:

Job Title: Health Coordinator

The position will be based in Bauchi with travel necessary. The successful applicant will report to PFD Deputy Country Program Director

Key Responsibilities
The Health Coordinator will be the liaison between PFD and TSHIP in Bauchi, assist in management and general oversight of HALE. S/he will ensure that the project meets expectations as well as objectives of TSHIP, PFD and Partners

Requirements

  • MPH, Nursing or equivalent graduate level degree with at least 5 years experience in Public Health Projects with NGOs in Nigeria.

  • Applicants with experience in managing Reproductive Health, Family Planning and Maternal and Newborn Child Health or any USAID Public Health project will have an added advantage.

  • Strong communication skills, including computer literacy as well as writing skills as desired.
