Job Title: Nigerian Content Manager

Job description


  • Ensure Compliance with NOGID Act and advise Company accordingly

  • Develop and Monitor Nigerian content plan in line with Company strategy and Objectives

  • Represent Company at stakeholder meetings

  • Responsible for timely and accurate preparation of all plan and reporting input to IJVP’s for onward submission to NCDMB in order to meet all statutory reporting deadlines.

  • Initiates strategies to ‘grow’ local capacity, especially in our areas of operation.

  • Delivers presentations and represents the Company as required. Is a key point of contact for the Board.

  • Takes direction from Head of JV + SCM.

  • Effectively communicates and co-ordinates all required inputs with all user Departments.

  • In conjunction with the vendor management team lead, keep a register and maintain a database of competent Nigerian vendors who can meet company’s requirements for the supply of goods and provision of services.

  • Work with vendor management team lead to implement the Due Diligence Process during Pre and Post registration.

  • In conjunction with vendor management team lead regularly review vendor management processes to ensure integrity and efficiency and recommend improvements to CP Management

  • Develop Vendor Performance model focussing in Delivery, Quality and Commercial

  • Interface with CP Assurance and Integrity Lead on integrity issues and due diligence pertaining to vendor record/database and identify red flags to CP management.

  • In conjunction with the Vendor management team lead, interface with NIPEX in managing NJQS for the Company

  • Reduce schedule risk to Client projects by achieving efficient and timely approval from regulators for the Nigerian Content elements in the tender process

  • Position Client as best practice / Industry Leader in NCD Implementation through interface NIPEX,NCD and other stakeholder forums

  • Increase the Nigerian content of Client contracts by supporting efforts to identify competent Nigerian contractors including local community contractors, suppliers and vendors.

  • Establish agreed Metrics / KPIs for measuring Client Nigerian Content.

  • Facilitating staff seminars and workshops centered on Nigerian Content to increase Client awareness and Supplier development; and providing feedback to management on the national NC agenda.



Requirements Nigerian Content Manager





  • Degree qualified in Engineering, social sciences or the humanities

  • Masters degree in engineering or business related topics an added advantage.

  • Significant experience in senior role in Oil and Gas sector

  • Experience in Oil and Gas field production including drilling and well activities.

  • Knowledge of Oil Field contracts and contracting strategies

  • Mentoring and coaching of others

  • The job holder will have sound IT skills with proficiency in the use of excel spreadsheet, Microsoft word, power point etc



Terms & Conditions Nigerian Content Manager


For this position preference will be given to Nigerian Nationals. In case expatriate candidates are selected, it is a prerequisite he/she is tasked to mentor and train a Nigerian understudy.
