Job Vacancy for Web Editor/Blogger at a Reputable Company in Nigeria

Job Title: Web Editor/Blogger

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Write editorial content


• Manage the company's social media presence and interactions


• Manage blogger outreach program


• Build a solid online brand ambassador network for the company


• Engage in useful online conversations and make intelligent contributions on relevant blogs


• Create and upload videos and other content


• Develop benchmark metrics to measure the results of social media programs


• Analyze and evaluate social media campaigns and strategies


• Report on effectiveness of campaigns and monitor social media trends


• Monitor the activities of key competitors on the online space


• Work with other marketing branches to integrate different activities

 

Qualification and Requirements:

• Minimum HND or BSc.


• Witty, creative and good command of language as an expressive tool.


• Excellent attitude to work and life, and must be a people person with interpersonal skills.


• Experienced in writing feature stories and converting interviews in question and answer format into feature stories.


• Solid reportorial background, with ability to research, conduct interviews and develop good report from materials sourced.


• He/She will be able to carry out editing of stories and have eyes for detail, to the extent of being able to identify errors, typos, and other finite mistakes as well as have the ability to make changes required.


• Ability and basic knowledge of updating web themes and systems like wordPress and Joomla.


• He/She must have a strong eye/nose for identifying news stories and with keen interest in pursuing and developing such stories for the website and in some cases for television.


• He/She must have a deep knowledge and passion for blogging


• Creative writing skills, cut across various sectors including entertainment.


• Ability to create, manipulate and manage dynamic and superior blogs and social media platforms.


• Good web analytic skills.


• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher).


• Strong information gathering and innovative solution development skills.


• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with a sense of urgency.


• Conversant with traditional and modern media platforms


• Dynamic understanding of consumer insights and markets


• Willingness to put fresh ideas on the table


• Age or gender is irrelevant
