Job Vacancy at ACF – USA for Logistics Coordinator

Action Against Hunger (ACF)-USA is part of the ACF-International Network which works to save lives by combating hunger and diseases that threaten the lives of vulnerable communities, through nutrition, food security, water and sanitation, health and advocacy.

Job Title: Logistics Coordinator, Abuja (1 year)

Purpose

  • To supervise the national management of Logistics. This includes the following:

  • Implementation of logistics procedures based on Kit Log 3.2. Organisation and support to logistics assessments nationally as these are requested by the mission management.

  • Elaboration of the logistics aspects in the proposals (assessment of logistic needs, evaluation of the costs and feasibility for the supplies, draft of the procurement planning and logistic budget)

  • Development of mission logistics strategy

  • Performance of logistics audits and subsequent reporting

  • Oversight on mission IT needs and structures

  • In coordination with the CD and HoB, performance of the context assessment, risk analysis, and development of appropriate security strategies / procedures for the current /future program areas as well as their timely revisions.


Qualifications and Skills

Substantial experience in logistics and staff management, project support and follow up, security management, previous experience with ACF desired. Well organized and rigorous, able to multitask. Team spirit and good communication qualities. Good general knowledge in IT, mechanic, radio and satellite communications. High sense of diplomacy with authorities.
