Job Vacancy for Office Manager at an NGO in Abuja, Nigeria

An international non-governmental organization currently implementing a program to improve the participation of key Nigerian stakeholders in electoral and  political processes is looking for Nigerian citizens to fill positions within its offices in Abuja, Nigeria. These stakeholders include: political parties; election authorities; media; and under-represented groups such as women, youth and persons with disabilities.

The specific objectives of its program are to:

  • Strengthen capacity of domestic observers and party agents to monitor  national and state elections.

  • Enhance the democratic role of and use of new and traditional media in the political process.

  • To promote stakeholder dialogues on the electoral process.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Country Director with the management of all day-to-day operations, such as ensuring all required office supplies and equipment are in stock

  • Ensure organization meets all reporting requirements of the government, including the Federal Inland Revenue Service, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Labour

  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory in line with the organization's policies.

  • Maintain a staff leave and travel calendar

  • Perform other office management responsibilities similar in scope


Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in similar position preferably with an international organization or project

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Good command of English, both spoken and written

  • Familiarity with international travel arrangements

  • Demonstrate integrity and transparency
