The specific objectives of its program are to:
- Strengthen capacity of domestic observers and party agents to monitor national and state elections.
- Enhance the democratic role of and use of new and traditional media in the political process.
- To promote stakeholder dialogues on the electoral process.
Job Title: Program Manager (PM)
Reporting: The PM reports to the Country Director
Duties and Responsibilities
- Take lead in the design and implementation of the political party program to improve the capacity of political parties.
- Track and brief staff / consultants on the political and policy developments, legislative changes, technical developments in the country that affect the organization's activities and / or objectives
- Contribute to the development of funding proposals and formulation of implementation plans
Qualification and Experience
- Master's degree preferred in governance, development, social sciences or project management
- At least 8 years (3 years at management level) experience with a CSO, or appropriate internationally recognized institution, with experience in gender mainstreaming and work with under-represented groups.
- Experience with evaluation and impact reporting to donors, especially USAID
- Experience in building and fostering relationships as well as capacity to communicate fluently with different stakeholders (civil society, media, government, political parties and staff)
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft
